Responding to today’s launch of Great British Nuclear in the Spring Budget, NNL’s Chief Strategy Officer, James Murphy, said: 

“The consultation announced in today’s Budget to classify nuclear as an environmentally sustainable investment is a welcome and overdue reflection of its contribution to keeping the lights on, with almost no greenhouse gas emissions produced as a result.

Together with the launch of Great British Nuclear, it will help pave the way for the science, innovation and enterprise needed for the nuclear sector to play its part in delivering energy security and Net Zero for the UK.”
