NNL Apprenticeships: Where anything is possible

Our 2023 Apprenticeship Programme is now live and open for applications.

There has never been a more exciting time to be part of the nuclear industry.  The growing need for carbon neutral energy is driving an increasing interest in nuclear which means new investment, new projects, new challenges, new opportunities, and new demand for people. And as the UK’s national lab for nuclear fission, we will help secure the next generation of talented professionals with the skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm to fuel our purpose and take the sector forward.

We are looking for people with skills in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and business administration to join us as permanent employees in September 2023. People who can be part of our future, who can push the limits of what’s possible, excel in their chosen field and make a difference to society.

Our apprentices are our future, which is why we challenge them, stretch them, and support them to continue their learning journey, while taking that initial career step into the exciting and innovative UK nuclear industry. All our apprentices work on challenging projects, learn from industry experts, undertake practical training and work towards recognised qualifications. They join a workforce with some of the most creative and inspired scientific minds in our sector, and the world; supporting our work to harness nuclear science to help solve some of the world’s biggest challenges – from achieving net zero to helping advance nuclear medicine.

National Apprenticeship Week 2023 – Come and meet us
