Hayley Wins Apprentice of the Year Award

Nexia Solutions (formerly NSTS) Sellafield apprentice Hayley Shepherd has been named GENII Apprentice of the Year. The awards ceremony, held at Whitehaven Civic hall in front of almost 300 guests including new NDA Chief Executive Dr Ian Roxburgh, celebrates the success and achievement of apprentices completing their first year of training with GENII and industry. On a memorable night for Hayley, she also picked up the prize for Scientific Apprentice of the Year.

She recieved two cheques – £100 for the scientific award and £250 for the overall prize. Hayley, currently working in the Nexia Solutions Encapsulation team, was also presented with engraved medals to commemorate each award, the Apprentice of the Year trophy and an invitation for all the winners to attend a VIP trip to Sale Sharks to meet the players including the current England Rugby Union Captain, Jason Robinson.

She said I was delighted to receive the two awards. It was a very special and enjoyable evening for me. I’m very grateful for the support I have received from everyone I have worked with while with Nexia Solutions. I’m looking forward to completing my training with Nexia Solutions and establishing a career in the industry.
