Examination and Analysis 

In the area of Materials and Corrosion, NNL can undertake a range of materials examinations of both inactive and active equipment, including degradation and failure analysis. Corrosion testing and assessments, through corrosion modelling and stress analysis for example, can also be performed and NNL has significant experience in the characterisation of graphite.

Combining this with our ability to undertake statutory and emergency plant inspections, we can combine our unparalleled knowledge to undertake plant integrity assessments and plant lifetime assessments. 

Nuclear Chemistry 

National Nuclear Laboratory has developed its expertise in the area of nuclear chemistry over many decades of developing reprocessing flowsheets and supporting reprocessing plants as well as providing chemistry support to operating nuclear reactors. We are able to offer support, troubleshooting and development services to current reprocessing and waste management plants, whilst at the same time working with customers to develop the next generation of reprocessing and waste management plants.
