NNL can use a wide range of tools to undertake business process modelling, risk modelling, statistical analysis and decision analysis to optimise all types of process. This is supported by our ability to analyse and advise on flowsheet improvements to reprocessing, encapsulation, evaporation and vitrification processes. In addition, we can underpin process modelling through modelling specific chemical reactions and fluid dynamics and we can validate this through experimental studies.
The UK's National Nuclear Laboratory can undertake environmental safety cases to support any changes to process and can also develop novel analytical techniques and equipment as required.
