Decommissioning and Treatment of Legacy Waste>Waste Retrieval

The National Nuclear Laboratory has used its wealth of experience in the development and deployment of remote retrieval equipment to solve many unique problems for our customers.

Full Service

Our talented engineers provide a complete services from design, manufacture and development of equipment to meet your needs. A mockup can then be built and trialled at our Workington Laboratory , allowing for operator training prior to on-plant deployment.

Quality

Working to ISO9001 and ISO14001, our engineers understand the needs of operating on nuclear licensed sites.

In order to ensure pre-deployment trials are as realistic as possible, we provide a service to assay and characterise customers' waste and then produce customised simulants of that waste - a vital part of ensuring success on plant. We also have the ability to model the effect of deploying remote equipment. This can be used, for example, to evaluate the structural integrity of degraded materials such as irradiated graphite.
