The UK's National Nuclear Laboratory has today published its first Signature Research Programme Position Paper on Spent Nuclear Fuel and Special Nuclear Materials Research.
NNL is establishing a number of Signature Research Areas which will support the future needs of the UK Nuclear Industry.
Today's paper gives NNL's position on Spent Fuel and Nuclear Materials research for the UK and introduces the NNL's Signature Research Programme for this important field of work.
It explains the importance of these Nuclear Materials, clarifies the need for disposition and details the potential options available.
