NNL Win’s RoSPA President’s Award for Safety
NNL is delighted to have won The President’s Award at the 2015 RoSPA Awards at a ceremony this week in Birmingham. NNL’s Health and Safety Standards Advisor, Gary Bellard also gave a presentation on NNL best practices in the RoSPA “Winner’s Lounge” seminar, along with Head of Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Mark Edmiston.
The President’s Award is given to organisations that have shown consistent and exemplary levels of safety performance over a continued period of time. NNL is a winner because we have won 11 consecutive Gold Awards (or above).

“This award is particularly pleasing because it not only recognises how seriously we take health and safety but shows that we have done so consistently over the past decade and beyond. It highlights the contribution of each and every individual across the entire National Nuclear Laboratory. It is they who work hard to ensure we are safe on a day to day basis and that we focus on continual improvement. The award highlights the importance of never allowing complacency to creep in.”
The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards are internationally recognised and are widely viewed as the sought after accolade across all business sectors.
NNL’s safety performance over the years has been outstanding. During the past 11 years, we have won the Sector Award on 8 occasions and been highly commended during each of the other 3 years, prior to winning the President’s Award this year.
