NNL Welcomes Appointment of Claire Flint to the Board

The National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) welcomes the announcement by Government that Claire Flint has been appointed to be a non-executive member of the NNL Board, commencing from 21 April 2017. Claire has already previously served as an associate non-executive director on the NNL Board from 2014-16, under the Government’s “Women on Board” scheme, so she is familiar with the business and we welcome her back to the Board in a formal capacity.

In her executive career, Claire was most recently Group Human Resources and Brand Director for Oxford Instruments plc, a leading international, nanotechnology tools provider, serving on their Management Board for over 10 years during a period of significant growth and strategic change. Prior to that she held a variety of international HR roles working for Diageo, Bass Brewing and the National Westminster Bank.

Claire now pursues a plural career comprising Non-Executive Directorships and leadership consulting. She recently became a Trustee for Scope, a leading UK charity. From 2012-16, she sat on the Institute of Physics Campaign Board raising funds to promote the advancement of physics as an engine for education and economic growth.

Claire has a BA in history from London University and a post graduate diploma in labour studies.
